REUNION WITH MINISTER LEADS AUTHORITIES IN SAN PEDRO. REGIONAL DIRECTORS SWEARS

The Deputy Minister of Health, Dr. Jose Rodriguez Aibar, led a major meeting with various authorities of San Pedro de Macoris, in order to understand the situation of cholera in the province.



In this meeting which took place in the conference room of the Regional Health Service participated Dr. Jose Reyes, Regional Manager of the Health Service, Rafael Amiama, by the municipality, by Crispin DarĂ­o SENASA, Dr. Custodian on behalf of the Universidad Central del Este and the Consortium Vicini, Drs Derco Reyes, Mercedes Rodriguez and Rosa Moon and Dr. Luis Alburquerque, by the Provincial Directorate of Health.


Other participating institutions were the Civil Defense, which was represented by its director in this city Mr. Pablo Polanco Aquino Cesar engineer for the Fire Department, Deputy Joan Vincent, engineer for the INAPA Rijo and community leaders from neighborhoods Punta Blanco and Fisher, sectors that have been hardest hit by the outbreak of Cholera affecting San Pedro de Macoris.

Dr. Rodriguez Aibar heard the explanations of these where there were a number of approaches to stop the spread of the disease, was determined develop a series of actions that involve the distribution of drinking water, cleaning, strengthening primary care units of those centers that can deal with patients with diarrhea and give early attention.

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Emmanuel Mendoza, Deputy Minister of Health, Dr. Elsa Valdez, Dr. Domingo Oliva and Dr. Marcelino Vilorio, among others, the meeting ended a tour of the Musa Anthony Regional Hospital, where include patients with symptoms of the disease.
