A eleição do novo Conselho Director of the International Union of Public Employees Unions and Similar (UIS - Public Servants) was the highlight of the second day of the XI International Congress of the entity, on Monday (29), the CTE CNTI Luziânia (GO) . With the participation of delegations from 30 countries and for the first time in Brazil, fellow lawmakers approved the creation and enlargement of the Council of Vice-Chairs who will represent the continents of Asia, the Americas, Africa, Europe and Oceania. While the secretary general of the Confederation of Public Servants in Brazil (CSPB), Sebastian Smith, was elected Secretary General UIS - Public Services, along with Smith's other two directors were CSPB with important positions at UIS; Zica Mauro, took the Ministry of Finance and Cosme Nogueira with folder of communication, printing, therefore, an entity in the history of achievement for Latin America and the strengthening of organizations around the world.
The South African Lulamile Sotak was reappointed to the post of president of UIS - Public Services. To be successful in the General Secretariat, Sukomal Sen was honored by Congress for the work of more than a decade as head of the institution. The plaque indicated only for the new positions created by reform of the Statute of UIS - Utilities included delegations from all the continents.
The elected board account, and Lulamile Sotak, with Arthur Smith (Portugal) as Vice-President for Europe, Servando Carbone (Venezuela), Vice-President for Latin , KKK Kutty ( India), Vice-President for Asia, Fikile Majola (South Africa), Vice-President for Africa. Also comprise the Board of Trustees, Cosme Ricardo Gomes Nogueira (Brazil) as Secretary of Social Communication, Lucy Robinson (Canary Islands), Secretary of Solidarity, Mauro Zica Junior (Brazil), Secretary of Finance and the Financial Control Committee, formed by Michalis Archontides (Cyprus), Sayed Zia (Pakistan) and Vortelinos Babis (Greece).
The positions of Vice President for Oceania, Deputy Secretary General, Secretary for Organization and Training, Project Secretary, Secretary of Administration and Secretary for Gender Equality and will be indicated by entities affiliated to the UIS Service - Public consultation of their bases.
The result of the Congress was celebrated by all. In two working days (28 and 29 June), delegations promoted among more than 150 union leaders debate the consequences of alternatives to the global financial crisis. The actions and plans approved and registered in a Political Declaration proposes the fight to the neoliberal model - in bankruptcy - management of the state is terminated with urgency to strengthen and support public servants of society in relation to unemployment and poverty.
CSPB's president, Joao Domingos, and also honorary chairman of the XI Congress of the UIS, opened the event and commented on the importance the Congress in Brazil. "Discuss alternatives to the service and public servants is essential, especially when we join servers that come from different countries with different realities and this Congress could establish a democratic line where the focus is the enhancement of public servant," said Dominic.
Mauro Zica, commented on the latest responsibility. "Without doubt it is an important mission I have now, but hopefully result in the best shape possible and contribute to the growth of UIS," said Mauro.
Cosme Nogueira says he is proud with the choice of his name. "I am a servant who came to the base, a public servant in the general services in the prefecture of Juiz de Fora (MG), and get up here, occupying a more important position as the secretary communications, is the realization of a dream I will give my best, "concluded Cosme.
Sebastian Smith also informed that the UIS - Public Services out of Congress strengthened with membership of over 22 labor unions.
